There are very few homeless in Santo Domingo for the most part they are selling something and at the end of the day they go back home somewhere in the hood
Another excellent video Jamie! 🇩🇴 🇺🇸
%100 True
Mr Jamie, what can I say? You bring up all these good reasons to live in DR, and with that, give some of us who have been away for too long a very positive outlook on moving back to the homeland.
Love your videos, and best of luck to you and your family. 💪💪💪
I agree with all this 5 rasons. you rigth
I lived in South Florida for over 20 years. It gets a lot colder now during the winter than it used to. So much for global warming. I've been living in the DR for 17 years now. No desire to go back other than my occasional visits.
Well said sir!!
Love your videos Jamie! You are quickly becoming one of my favorite YouTubers… Doesn’t it concern you that the DR could become woke as well? While it is nowhere near what the US is in terms of wokeism, believe me – it is gaining ground. I grew up over there, and compared to what it was back in my time, I cant even recognize it today – far more liberal than it used to be.
You are COMPLETELY right my friend. Those dominican that say it is not, are the ones that DO NOT DR, those Who come to DR pa'un barrio. But please dont tell to everyone as we dont want them to come with their proge ideas and agendas, those STAY OUT!
If you are coming as a tourist, I hope you have a great time! If you want to move and live with us, please respect our culture and participate in it. Remember why you left your home country and try to learn what makes our country great. We have christian values. We take care of our elderly and children. We don't like anything not conservative oriented and will make fun of it. We are laid back and will move out of our way to help. We will judge you and still feed you and clothe you if you ever need it. That's why homeless in our country are different than in the USA, if you see someone homeless is because they are actively living like that. We are loud, we are loving and have fun even when the times are tough. Especially when times are tough.
Now I just gotta figure out how I can take my six-figure job from Orlando to DR
I’m Dominican born in New York. I lived in Santo Domingo for 6 years. Once Covid hit we moved from NYC to Miami for two year and another 2 years in Tampa. Florida is poopookaka! The quality of life debate is not even close….🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴!!!
We currently live in Palm Beach County Florida. I’ve lived here in Florida my whole life. In 2019 we started building a home in Jarabacoa. We stay in our home in Jarabacoa 4 times a year. We will be moving to DR in about 5 years. You are 100% correct on every point!
I just found this channel and I can’t stop watching all your videos and how detail and organized your videos are. Thanks brother for sharing all the value information about our beautiful country.
This guy is so freaking right on that is scary!!! But pleeeease don't ever compare heaven's beaches with Florida 's sea water reservoirs…or how ever you write that. Thanks!
Great points Jamie!! Whats happening in the U.S is sad. They are after important family values & our kids.
Im a 55y Swiss and making myself ready to move to the DR, because Europe has become crazy too. Now learnig Espanol and enjoy you very much informative videos👍 I love the fact that there are a lot of like minded gringos which are not brainwashed sheep’s 😜
The Dominican with an average income lives better than several US states.
I'm Dominican grew up in NY, retired moved to Florida 4yrs ago. I'm seriously thinking of moving to DR, the USA has become so dangerous and unaffordable. In DR with my pension I'll be a millionaire, and thank you for your videos very informative
Dominican > Florida > Michigan
No lies told. Stayed in Punta Cana for a few years and I don’t think I like the other parts of DR due to safety. I have 2 kids and a wife. Punta Cana Village had everything we wanted. It was cheaper there too. Our $6k monthly expense was tiny compare to $11k I’m paying in Brickell, Miami. I’ll be moving back to the Village soon and be on vacation daily lol.
No, it's generally not safe to walk around at night in the Dominican Republic, especially if you're in a less touristy area or if you appear to be a foreigner. Muggings and robberies are common, and the police may not be able to do much to help if you are a victim of a crime. Additionally, there is a risk of being killed during a mugging.
While homelessness isn't a major issue in the Dominican Republic, it's relatively easy to afford basic housing. With as little as $40 per month, you can find a place to live in a low-income area." 5:50
You missed two things: healthcare ( it's horrible in dr) and for the elderly worst..
And Education is bad even in private schools, a really good school cost $$$.
Those things are holding me up here🤷🏻♂️
