8-day Dominican Republic Itinerary: Samana + Punta Cana

Our recent trip to the Dominican Republic showed us a new side of the country beyond the beautiful beaches! There is so much to do and see, we highly recommend checking out some or all of these destinations from our 8-day itinerary, featuring Samana and Punta Cana. They offer very different experiences and are both worth visiting on the same trip!

DAY 1:
Arrive in Rincon Bay and stay at – From here we recommend doing an epic ATV Tour with Dario Perez Excursiones that will take you to various hot spots including Playa Rincon.

DAY 2:
Enjoy the pool at Ocama Hotel and book one of their private dining experiences that will happen right in your villa.

DAY 3: 
Next, we suggest spending 2-3 nights at a private island resort in Samana with beautiful beaches, pools, cabanas, spa, and incredible restaurants!

DAY 4:
Head out from the hotel on a boat tour of Los Haitises National Park with

DAY 5:
In the morning, enjoy a wellness experience at Yubarta, part of Cayo Levantado Resort. Or relax at their onsite spa with a full thermal experience (pool, steam room, sauna, cold plunge).

Then take a transfer to Punta Cana (tip: plan for 5 hours in transportation time).

Check in to an Adults-Only Wellness Inclusive Resort. Tip: upgrade to the LEVEL experience during your stay.

DAY 6:
Play 18 holes at Corales, a PGA level seaside golf course located in Punta Cana. 

DAY 7:
Relax at Yhi Spa, located in the Melia Punta Cana Beach Resort! There is a thermal experience, pool, and also incredible spa services. 

DAY 8:
Spend your day relaxing at the beach. Tip: upgrade to the private cabana experience at Melia to get a bottle of champagne and fruit tray delivered to your cabana.
