  1. LOL Jay mentioned about "dance classes", I was alone workin in Germany, I decided that I needed to meet people, so I started going to Latino dance clubs, 3 days a week usually on weekends, after about 2 years, I met and became good friends, and I also met my wife….lol, i didn't know how to dance, but i learned by watching, then i started doing it myself, that lead me to ask for a dance….it worked lol. Honestly, most of the best people that I know, are Dominicans, and I'm Canadian, they all say that Canadians are nice…well, I can tell you, try to do the same thing that I did in Germany, in Canada….good luck.

  2. I’m glad you did this video this advice is good no
Matter where you are I brought my wife here to the US from the Dominican Republic and I’m trying to get here to go out and meet people

  3. Hey guys, another great topic as usual. Can I ask an off topic question? I hope to move to the DR early 2025. Can you suggest a provider for health insurance? Certainly I am responsible for my own decisions but just trying to get pointed in the right direction.

    Thanks for all you do.😊

  4. It’s interesting that she could to make friends of people in the gym in the Dominican republics.
I feel like in United States it can be challenging to make a friend in the gym.

I remember when I was outside of Orlando, Are used to talk to a bunch of people and easily have a small conversation.

  5. I'm in SD now but I fly out tomorrow. I agree it's easy to meet people and many different places to meet like malecon, last night it was lit. Everyone was happy, never at any moment did I feel unsafe. It was just a lot family and friends of all ages relaxing and appreciating life.

  6. This is a good video. I’m here now in Santa Domingo now and these are good suggestions I didn’t think of. The biggest thing is to learn the language, even if you learn just a little bit.

  7. James y Norberis every suggestions you give are just correct. It is not hard or difficult to make friends in the DR. One of the easiest entry level ways to start meeting people is at the airport. You need a taxi to get to your destination. A lot of these taxi drivers know at least a little English, some know a lot. Strike up a conversation, see if this is someone you want to call again while your there to take you somewhere. Get their number. You can use the same person again each time you go to the Dominican Republic, you and this person can build a friendship which will make it much easier when you finally live there. Great topic guys, great topic, love itπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

  8. I took my first trip to Santo Domingo and Juan dolio during the last 8 days. Impressed
    These are good tips
In Panama I have BBQs with my neighbors and friends every other Sunday for the past 6 months when it does not rain. That has helped getting new friends #bbqdiplomacy
