PUNTA CANA Paradise for Cheap! 🇩🇴 Don’t Stay at a Resort at Bavaro Beach Dominican Republic

Punta Cana isn’t just about luxury all-inclusives and expensive villas—it can also be a great destination for budget travellers! In this week’s video, we show you how to experience Punta Cana without breaking the bank.

We start by checking into our $60/night apartment rental at El Dorado Apartments, a one-bedroom apartment with a pool and just a short walk from the famous Bávaro Beach. You can find the apartment here:

Next, we head to Bávaro Beach, where we share tips on how to access the beach without staying at a resort. Many beach clubs offer free loungers with a food or drink purchase—perfect for budget-conscious travellers!

To keep costs low on food and drinks, we make a few stops:
– Start the day with a refreshing Mango Juice at Mango Café:
– Sip on a budget-friendly Aperol Spritz during Happy Hour:
– End the day with some affordable Pizza, which is perfect for sharing:
Punta Cana is full of affordable gems if you know where to look, and we’re here to help you uncover them!

  1. Awesome video! As someone that lives in Punta Cana, technically you're in Bavaro right now not Punta Cana. Go to Punta Cana Village 🙂 there's also really pretty beaches, there's also little "lakes" And Hoyo Azul y Cap Cana which are insanely beautiful. Also really nice restaurants in both of those areas (village and Cap Cana). Those are right by the airport, you actually passed them when leaving the airport.

  2. 🙂💗👍Thank You Trevor And Anna Just Getting Around to Watching Your Video We had a Bad Wind, Rain and Thunder and Lighting Storm here in NB it knocked out the Power for a Full Day and a half had no Internet or Cell Phone Power.🙂The Only Good Thing is The Snow is all Gone Now lol.🙂And getting to Watch Your Video while The Apartment is Warming Up!!!!👍Wishing You Safe Travels from The East Coast of Canada🙂💙👍Burrrrrrrrrr👍

  3. Thanks for the breakdown! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?

  4. Already tried multiple times renting airbnb instead of resort in Punta Cana. An airbnb will come out the same or double than a resort. In Punta Cana, they have the highest electricity bill. A high % of rental properties charge electricity bill separately. That comes out to more than 10 dollars a day. Also, the grocery stores in area charge the same as if you were in New York City. For the real cheap experience, thats places outside tourist areas. The best bargain you will get is in a all inclusive resort at a good price. Renting airbnb's isn't worth it, that 60 a night comes out to over 100+ a night with separate expenses. Rentals are good though, when high season comes into play. Where resorts go over 200+ a night. Good video though

  5. I like Dominican more than my girlfriend does. Our biggest complaints are the harassing vendors on the resort beaches. They are ruthless. They constantly hounded us in all of our 3 visits. They’ll even almost wake you up to ask you to buy.
When we got home from Cabarete last year, I got violently ill for a week. We don’t know if it was from food or bug bites. I had to go to the hospital twice for IV’s and could not even put ice in my mouth.
Other than those 2 issues, I like the country.
Good food, decent people, decent prices, nice beaches & resorts.

  6. Couldn’t have been more perfect timing – seeing this video on the first real cold day in Toronto, Ontario feeling like minus 18 degrees Celsius with wind gusts up to 70 km/hour 🥶. Practically drooling over the mango ‘shakes’ and rustic pizza. DR on a budget – I love it! 😊
