Let’s take a walk!
Today we are checking out a few different beaches in between Barahona and Pedernales. This part of the country is very near to the Southern part of the border between the Dominican Republic and Haiti and is known for it’s dry climate and stony beaches. Unfortunately the sea is extremely rough in this part of the country so most people avoid bathing in the water due to the potential dangers but there is still a lot to do, see and enjoy!
Today we are visiting multiple beaches and each one features a river that feeds in to the beach (a common feature of many Dominican beaches) that is a lot safer for bathing and is where people typically sit, congregate, drink, and relax.
This is a great opportunity to see how folks in the Dominican Republic spend some of their leisure time and I hope you enjoy the video!1
