Las Terrenas Restaurant Guide ๐Ÿ‘‰

We’re back in Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic โ€” a place we’ve loved for years! But this time, itโ€™s surprisingly quiet compared to past visits. In this episode, we hop on a rental ATV (Quad Bike) and take you around town, revisiting all our favorite spots.

We kick things off on the sandy shores of Punta Popy, one of the most beautiful beaches in town. Then we ride through Las Terrenas, stopping for lunch at the charming Punta Italia in a cute Spanish-style square โ€” seriously, the pizza is amazing!๐Ÿ“Punta Italia:

Next door, we explore Puerto Plaza, a unique shopping and dining complex built to look like two cruise ships! We then hit up Playa Ballenas, another stunning beach and one of our longtime favorites.

We also check out the newly rebuilt Fishermanโ€™s Village, which is just about ready to open after a devastating fire a few years back. We wrap up the day with an oceanfront happy hour at Hotel Colibri โ€” cocktails, sunsets, and good vibes!

๐Ÿ‘‰ If youโ€™re curious what Las Terrenas is like right now, donโ€™t miss this one!

  1. ๐Ÿ’ซ Anna and Trevor, Las Terrenas looks like my kind of spot… Its rare to have shady spots on a beach and I need shade due to my fair complexion. I still need sunscreen but I'd be able to stay outdoors longer. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  3. We've been going there for 15 years, it is my paradise also. Unfortunately there are no direct flights to the samana airport from Toronto until November. The only flight is Air Canada but you will need to fly to Montreal first, 14 hours to get there for a 3.5 hour flight, not ideal when you have a week or two vacation. We've had a few vacations with nothing but rain when we go in November so that isn't ideal either. So it just not working for us lately since our vacation is usually in November for our anniversary. If I could live there, that is where I would be. We go to the Caribbean every year …. somewhere, and nothing beats those beaches. You need to go to the town of samana it's very pretty like Curacao, maybe not so Amsterdam 'ish. Friends took us to a beautiful beach there, unfortunately I can't remember the name, but it had a river flowing into it too.

  4. Hello DelightfulTravellers! Thank you for your videos. I watch every video of yours. Enjoy Las Terranas. I love it there. I will be there next month, cannot wait! Las Terranas is Great!!

  5. Europe has been having economic problems so less europeans are traveling to the Caribbean. In DR while european tourism has been going down, northamerican and southamerican has been going up, but mostly to Punta Cana and Puerto Plata.
