My spanish is terrible, and I know it. At least I try it, most dominicans speak only spanish and not more than 2 or 3 words in english. With the people from Haiti I can speak french also… Anyway!
I took an Aptpra bus from Punta Cana (Bavaro) to Boca Chica.
Boca Chica is meanwhile in such a terrible condition, it can be called a shabby hole, and that’s still a nice description.
After being there for 30 minutes, I changed my travel plans and decided to move on, took a taxi to the Caribe Tours busstation Las Americas (not far from Santo Domingo airport) and continued my trip to Santiago de los Caballeros.
In Santiago they have meanwhile also build a Teleferico/Cable car, which I will show in the next video.
AND they are currently constructing a MONORAIL through the city, which is a great way to get rid of overpriced taxis…
Travelling the Dominican Republic by bus is a great experience and I can only recommend it!
