  1. Or when ur kids take Spanish in school, they look at you and say, "u gon help me, right?" Umm, no. U shud've been listening to me "y tu abuela cuando hablamos." (I helped anyway…sort of 😂)

  2. “It’s not just something you speak it’s something you live” yesssss. Going back home to any Latin country it’s about family, food, and culture. Your baby has a great mom ❤

  3. As a first generation American ( my mom is from the Dominican Republic and my father was from Puerto Rico ), I must say that teaching my children, as second generation Americans, their native language is a challenge that I was not prepared to face. Even though I was born in the United States, my mom spoke to me solely in Spanish until I started kindergarten making Spanish my first language.
Thank you for highlighting the importance of preserving our culture, our language, and our family history.

  4. Si 👍🏽 in USA 🇺🇸 in the past many people were denied to speak their language so now is our duty to continue our heritage 💪🏼🙌🏽

  5. Beautiful!!!! You’re connected to your roots and you are connecting the baby. This is as precious as it gets and your father will be so pleased. ❤

  6. It's her heritage. I'm African American, and I wish I had my african name, language, and place of origin. I know it's West Africa. There are 17 countries in West Africa. I'm want to learn spanish or french/Haitian Creole for job possibilities.
