13. DR is a big rip-off. Why do I have to tip the workers. This is not America. DR is supposed to be an affordable travel destination. There are other countries that don't require tips, are safer, and more affordable than DR.

18. I dropped my iphone 13 in a lake for 5 minutes. Pulled it out. Speaker didn't work for about 30 min. Other than that it was fine. You don't need a waterproof phone case with an iPhone 13+

22. Kaopectate is my favorite (tastes better than Pepto Bismol). I used it when I was USAF Security Forces and we would fly into South Korea, The Phillipines, Thailand etc., always kept one in my back pocket and I always drank (and brushed my teeth with) bottled water. Even ice can mess you up.

23. We used to bring Tumblers but we found out they are not really needed. The servers are filling up your drinks so fast it really doesnt matter. Wont hurt if you do but we found its easier not bringing them and also helps keep the suitcase under 50 lbs when flying.

28. Another good thing to bring is some Aloe gel (usually green) to hydrate and cool off your skin at night.Put it all over when you come out of the shower and just watch your skin soak it up instantly. It really helps to repair sun damaged skin so you can continue to tan the next day.
