Proud costarican here, btw I recommend going in December, in USA, it freezing but in Costa Rica it is the oppistite, nice and warm with beaches, PURA VIDA❤🇨🇷
Pura Vida 🇨🇷
Costa Rica was cheap in the past, but it became a place where a lot of Americans spent their retirement. And that changed everything, prices went up, and now it's expensive.
I thought most was actually cheap. Go to the soda restaurants. All locals come there. And to the selfservice of the musmanni bakeries. I have a great hotel included breakfast for 30 euro a night. Ok,tours are not cheap but overall i find it not expensive at all.
Well now u know … lifes about lessons
I am from Costarica and its not expensive in some tourist areas there are restaurants that make you pay a lot for food but here in san jose everything is cheap also tours are SUPER expensive in the pacific coast
Nicaragua is much cheaper. Better IMO.
I’m from the UK myself and planning a trip there next year through a G Adventures package holiday. Thanks for the tips.
Never been to Costa Rica going this October. It's pretty obvious to not bring white sneakers but you're the kinda person that would need those kinds of shoes to complete your wardrobe for CR lo
Awesome 😎😎
The more I learn about places being so expensive the more I see why people travel within the US. Why leave? I guess for culture but that's gone in the tourism areas and the US has people from everywhere just drive to a new zip code.
Wear dry fit clothing when possible, sandals or shoes you'll know will get dirty/wet, a good rain jacket for those sudden down pours, bug spray (although I almost never get bit), don't touch the wildlife, you can use your credit card at toll roads (if you don't have the local currency or exact change), get a credit card with no international fees when you use it, get a tour guide when possible, & always enjoy 🍻
I made the same mistake of wearing my New Balance white sneakers for Central America and yep I can confirm they are ruined and wet 😂😅
if you broke please dont come here….this country its Exclusive , If Costa Rica were a car, it would be a Ferrari.
CR is known as the Switzerland of Latin America for its cost. However, spending that money for dorky tours is a waste.
Costa Rica is cheap! Don't go to the tourist spots and you will live off of nothing!!!!
Nice shots. Also.. your accent.. is just so addictingly nice on the ears
Don’t go to tourist areas you won’t spend that much
I just came to see Costa rica … which is mentioned in twisted game.. that's it
Currency calibrated x2usd x2+cdn $20MIL = $54CDN 1 year to figure out😢🙃🫠🤔🤨
DO NOT visit the capital city, San José. It's the worst. Not even us, locals, visit it at all. There is much crime, and it's a mess. There's nothing interesting to watch unless you pay for a guided tour which, of course, will show you the one or two landmarks.
Where’s a good place to get a surfing class ?
I live in Costa Rica thanks for visiting
Oh definitely limit time in San Jose, get to the forest and ocean asap! Correct. It's thoughtful and respectful of her to say "in my opinion", but it's pretty much true for almost everyone.
I’m Costa Rican, and it is getting more expensive there, if anyone goes I totally recommend going to Manuel Antonio it’s the best! Pura vida! 🇨🇷☺️
Short version: go to live in Costa Rica while hating on the western world, come back appreciating what you’ve taken for granted your whole life.
It’s expensive cuz you’re paying the tourist tax on everything. If you live like the locals it’s not expensive
As a Costa Rican, I can confirm everything she said in the video
Guanacaste is nicer
Great advice, I'm going in a few days! Thank you!
no matter what, it has to be better than western countries…
Expensive because you hung out at the tourist trap locations
This vid is so white it hurts
Si entiendes que costa rica es caro según ustedes porque no saben organizar bien el viaje 😂, si quieren un viaje de CEO que tienen demasiado dinero no se quejaron de los precios 😂, se llama saber viajar 😂😂😂😂
