Want to see the Dominican countryside and explore off-road trails? Check out this great excursion we took in April of 2024. We booked it through Royal Caribbean and it was run by tour operator Xploratur SRL. From the port there was a short open air bus ride to their ranch where they had bathrooms and showers plus a few small shops. Each buggy, which was a CFMOTO ZForce 800 EX, held two passengers with a chance to switch drivers half-way through.
The guides highly recommended sunglasses and bandanas to help keep the dust out of your eyes, nose, and mouth and sold both for those who didn’t bring their own. They also had a lot of warnings about protecting your phone from mud and water and sold cell phone pouches. My iPhone is quite water resistant, so I didn’t worry about it so much but it was pretty covered in mud by the time I was done.
