I’ve been watching for a few years so have seen a lot of your travels around the world. I am just finishing my first ever visit to the DR which I was curious about because of your videos! This time I only got to Punta Cana and got to experience a resort and an apartment.
I’m so glad this video addressed the garbage issue because I was a bit shocked. Everything else is soooo good, weather, people, beach but the garbage was a big turn off and I was ready to write off the DR but this video has me reconsidering . Would you say Cabarete is the best place to go on the North Coast for a better impression?

I love playa Alicia in Sosua.
I was there with my sister in law for two weeks. She felt so happy and relaxed that she ended up buying a house. (She is American) It’s just a total different life style. The quality of food is another thing. Fresh fruits and vegetables are so affordable and they taste so different. You feel and see the difference the minute you come back home. I know some people that have gone complete off medications by just moving to DR. The noice annoys me too and when I was there I wrote a letter to the governors about the garbage, however, unfortunately there seems to be problem everywhere and I am glad to see that your priorities are in place and things that you don’t like you still have a good attitude towards. Keep having fun and saying yess to your happy place.
I agree with everything you said. Love the D.R. and the people are fantastic. But in the areas we were in the sewer, water ( not drinkable) and electricity need tons of work. Like you said though like any other up and coming country ❤. Love you guys.

I watch your videos all the time. From HRM her in NS. Watching your videos makes me want to move there or visit more. Can you elaborate on properties for seniors in particular. I have visited the DR quite a few times and love the North Coast. If anyone has insight on senior properties there, I would love to know more. Keep up the great videos.

You have to try Playa Los Minos in Rio San Juan right at center of town near Laguna Grigri is a must try. Also, in La Entrada, Cabrera you have Playa Los Muertos is very particular because it has a cemetery right in the beach. Next to it is Arroyo Salado is another one to try in the same area.fyi

I miss Cabarete
God's country. My parents migrated from that area back in the 60's to the US and happy to see that the world is enjoying one of the most beautiful (physically and culturally) on the planet. That area has always been a favorite for expats from all over the world for many years and has turned this area into a true melting pot. Thank you for bringing its beauty to YouTube.
Most Dominicans consider the "North Coast" and Samana peninsula as seperate zones.
Also Playa La Entrada is so very beautiful. Just alittle east of Laguna DuDu

At the end of video that area with restaraunts is called " El Rocon" next try hut on road there called" Dona Chela" has great bbq and plate of day. Also the one restaurant " Beachpoint" has outdoor movies every sunday evening. Enjoy😁
