I am on my honeymoon and my wife and I will never return to this place ever again, people are way to agressive and are never satisfied with their “tip” would highly recommend not visiting Punta Cana. (Also no need to be offended this is just from my experience)
Yes we almost got scammed multiple times here but don’t get the taxi get a bus to your hotel because if you booked like with der tour they will give you a bus to your hotel I know it’s hard to read but yeah watch out
Its also the men that grab your bags! One minute you have them, the next they are dragging them in front of you! It's scary, especially when you are trying to keep a family together
Also when you get back some guy might try to help you with your bags, they get very grabby with your luggage and insisted to help but I said I didn’t have any cash. And negotiate the price on taxis/ compare it to Uber on your phone
IF U DO A JET BLUE VACATION RESERVATIONS… ITS INCLUDED IN YOUR PACKAGE . WHEN U ARRIVE IN PUNTA CANA ASK FOR THE JET BLUE COUNTER IN TRANSPORTATION. THEY ARE GREAY !
Yes book a private driver from the resort you are staying. Thank me later, and also when going back to the airport same way, they will walk you all the way to baggage check in..

Isn’t the transportation included in the package deal to and from the hotel in Punta Cana ?

I had the worst experiences ever in DR. I've been one time and would never go back. Even if it was a free trip, I'd still not go.
I got scammed at the Cancun airport in Mexico for the excursions. Be safe and do your homework before traveling.
Can you arrange this at the airport or should it be booked begore
I followed your suggestion at PVR and used Nacho Tours. They were great and 1/2 the rate the resort wanted to charge me.

You should try Mike Fisher Tours in Punta Cana and Kalido Travel in Mexico
Just don’t go to Punts Cana period. They are all a bunch of scammers
