I went there last week and got snatched up by the authority soon as I got off the plane.. I'm dark skin and I guess I look Haitian… And throughout the whole trip I kept getting stopped and asked for my passport and could they search my bags

They simply cross on foot, through a very easy and precarious 300 km shared border crossing!!
Why not address all the racial discrimination within the USA?!! And stop being biased, by trying to fuse these two very different countries together!! (Which seems to be the motivation)
One was settled by Spaniards, the other by the French!!
They don’t even speak the same language, have different customs, one is a failed state, the other is a developing country (albeit a 3rd world country, but the DR has working institutions, is a relatively SAFE PLACE, unlike Haiti!!)

I’ve traveled there many times, never had an issue. They can tell a Yankee gringo apart from a Haitian or Dominican just by how you “walk and talk and dress”.
