Bryan Cave Diving, Dominican Republic

This photo is from a cave dive in the Dominican Republic. Scuba diving in caves requires a set of skills similar to regular diving, with the added mental pressure of knowing that there is only one way in and out of the cave. The crystal clear fresh water in this cave made the dive that much more fun. After swimming for about 20 minutes through the cave system, my guide and I reached "the dome", a spot where the cave continued above water. Still 60 feet under ground level we took in some fresh air before turning our flashlights off. The darkness that enveloped us was unreal. I literally couldn’t see my finger an inch in front of my face.
