  3. This is a food video. Setting all of the politics, cultural differences, etc., that most people just talk about, both cuisines are delicious. Obviously, as a Dominican I proudly stand by my country's food. Some of the comments are outrageous. All love, quit the hate, and refrain from the differences.

  12. At 9:10 mark, there is tiresome and negligent disinformation. Haiti is NOT and HAS NEVER BEEN ''3% forested''. HAITI IS 30% FORESTED,, a number similar to the coverage in the United States, France, and Germany, and far higher than in Ireland and England. Dominican Republic is about 38 to 40% if I recall correctly. Contrary to popular opinion, Haiti has plenty of lush areas. The ridiculous 3% statistic is horrible media disinformation from the 1980s that has since been scientifically debunked through geological study (Peter Wambler, geologist, Grand Valley State University, for your reference). And that picture shown at 9:12 that keeps getting recycled over and over on social media is exagerated and only reflects a limited part of the terrain right at the BORDER between Haiti and the DR and the reason for the lack of trees there is that former dictator François Duvalier had ordered the trees to be cut down in that area to try and prevent insurgents or terrorists from entering Haiti from the DR side. If you know Haiti's history, since the Haitian revolution, whenever attacks on Haiti occurred, the starting point was oftentimes from there, hence why he had the trees cut. The whole country is not like this! Yes there are certain areas that have a deforestation problem in Haiti but most of Haiti is very lush. And while the Dominican Republic is 8 to 10% more forested than Haiti, it also has areas of problematic deforestation, especially due to mining. Don't believe everything that mainstream media or social media tells you. A lot of narratives surrounding Haiti are biased due to geopolitics and racism. I wish they had stuck to discussing how the food tastes!

L'homme blancs vas venir vous "sauver" avec des ONG 😅 les haitiens ont oublié qui est vraiment leurs ennemis. Les Dominicains ne sont que vos descendent qui ne connaissent pas leurs propres histoires. Ils sont ingrats et ignorants😢 mais c'est à vous de donner l'exemple comme vous l'avez fait par le passé. Concentrez vous sur l'homme blancs qui continue à vous punir et à faire semblant de vous aidet avec des ONG

  25. Je vois que dans les commentaires , lesDinicains n'hésitent pas à complimenter la gastronomie haïtienne. En revanche les haitiens trouvent toujours une choses négative à redire au sujets des Domincains. Et on ose dire que c'est eux les racistes 😮 chers haïtiens sachez que l'homme blancs est vôtre ennemis et veux voler vôtres beau pays. Ils fournissent des armes aux gangs, vous manipulent avec les ONG et surtout isl nourrissent vôtres haine envers les Dominicains pour que vous, vous entretués entre Afro descendent. Comme le génocide du Ouganda 😢 reveillez vous.
