I Flew to Boston… But It Felt Like The Dominican Republic!

I flew from Santo Domingo to Boston… but somehow it still felt like the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴

From a Dominican airline to a Dominican Uber driver… Dominican hotel staff, Dominican Inner Circle members, Dominican food in Lynn, and even my Dominican in-laws — this trip became something much bigger than just a flight.

In this video, I bring my friend Erick (for his first time ever leaving the Dominican Republic) to experience snow, clam chowder, Dunkin’, the Freedom Trail, and everything Boston has to offer — while discovering just how far Dominican culture really reaches.

Access. Growth. Community. That’s what this trip was about.

✈️ Airline Info

This video includes my first experience flying Arajet from Santo Domingo to Boston. This is not a paid sponsorship however Arajet did comp our tickets (never asked for content in exchange). All opinions are my own and based on personal experience.

Always verify airline policies (baggage, seat selection, add-ons, etc.) directly with the carrier before booking.

  1. Maaaan we could've met up for a drink and chat lol…I used to work in the Seaport I DO NOT miss it..BTW Modern Pastries runs laps around Mike's Pastries lol

  2. I’m leaving from Boston for the DR this summer. I live in Lawrence,MA. If you really want it to feel like the Dominican come to Lawrence. Out of 100k population it’s about 60000 Dominicans

  3. My home town of NYC 🗽 has by far the most Dominicans in the USA,but the Boston area comes in at number 2 I believe, with my adopted hometown of Miami coming in at number 3 I reckon. Most Dominicans in the Boston area are from the Province of Bani by the way. I love ❤️ Boston.
One more thing,Jeffers’s English is nonpareil. Especially for someone that has never left the country. San Pedro-ites do have a strong 💪 Caribbean English connection as well as Samana going back over a century, but very impressed nonetheless👍🏾.
