  1. The following comment is going to ruffle a lot of feathers, so here it goes. I am an American born to Dominican mother and father who migrate to the U.S. in the late 50's. I have traveled to D.R. more than any other country I have visited. It would be fair to say about 10x's thus far in my life. While I really like the current president and all his ideas/policies, he is facing the same problem our former president, Trump faced, corruption in government. Yes, the Dominican president is trying to eradicate this issue by having these individuals arrested or fired, but it isn't enough. Systematic corruption is a real thing, and like a cancer far advanced, it needs very aggressive treatment. Pay your police officers more money and only recruit those with an education and impeccable background. The military also needs to be reined in. Start there. Then, the ports of entry must be addressed. Drugs are still being funneled through the ports along with other illicit goods. The Dominican Republic remains a distribution hub for the cartels, and fixing this won't be easy, but it can be done. I am a retired SGT from the NYPD, and I would be more than happy to advise the president how it can be done. As for the United States offering to help the Dominican Republic grow through the industrial complex, that's something the president or his advisor's need to negotiate with the next administration. Nothing is for free, and no one is going to invest in anyone or anything without expecting a return on that investment! The deal has to favor the Dominican Republic more than it does the USA. Finally, the Dominican Republic has to do what it does best. Tourism, produce, and tobacco. Give tax incentives for these industries and establish standards that must meet government requirements or else lose your incentives.

  2. 99.9999999 of Dominican aren't racist. Imagine how much they are.
    Hatians are stilling the country.
Look what's happening in springfield. They really are. If that happen in Santo Domingo USA take this country 😂.

    BENDICIONES

  5. Mr Guber as a Dominican I appreciate what you do for us to counteract the bad rap that some international organisations and the Hitian diplomacy had giving us without any acknowledgement for all the help we had given them thru the years thanks you.

  6. This crazy invasion needs to stop, they're draining resources that belong to natural citizens. Why can't other countries help Haiti, it's not DR'S responsibility. Sick of it.

  8. I DONT MIND PPL THAT COME TO WORK AS LONG AS IS IN A CONTROLLED MANNER.HOWEVER,HAITI SHOULD COME TO TERMS WITH ITSELF AND TRY TO CREATE SOSTENIBILITY IN THEIR TERRITORY ,BUYING MORE THAN 75% OF ALL DOMINICAN PROPERTIES IN 2023 WHILE NOT INVESTING IN HAITI IS EXACTLY WHY THEY ARE NOT GOING TO FIX THEIR PROBS ANYTIME SOON😑 .DONT GET ME WRONG ,THEY CAN BUY WHEREVER THEY WANT BUT THEIR WHOLE ECONOMY SHOULD NOT BE BASED IN ANOTHER STATE LIKE THE D.R .

  9. No. Hay. Gatos. Ni. Perros. En. Dominicana. Las. Mascotas. Se. La. Roban y. Se. Las. Comen. Hasta. Las. Personas. Y. Niños. Se. Las. Comen. Los. Haitianos. Auxilio. Es. Una. Invacion.

  10. On the semiconductor section. Sounds to me like american or other PhD. people managing it. We Dominican will never have the skills to develop such technology at a high level. We mainly do labor work like putting things together, not engineers. We are losing our primary resource, which is our people, because of a lack of opportunities and people not wanting to study or decide to study careers that are oversaturated in the country.

  11. The haitians in school statistics were not reported appropriately. Those are legal haitians statistics, the reality is way way more haitians are in schools and most have no documents, not even a birth certificate and are allowed right into the school system. But we Dominican have to go through the regular process and required documentation to get in, which leads to schools being filled by haitians and no spots for Dominicans.

  12. How can we invest when we're being invaded by a nation that not only tried to annihilate us, forced us to pay for their freedom but are ruining our country the same way they did theirs.
