  1. Wow your video is so informative πŸ™ thank you. My parents moved out of DR to US. Growing up they always told me US is safer, more job opportunities, and better. I never heard anyone else say it was safe to live over there. I really like how you mentioned about the north part of DR. Maybe I will check it out in the north when I have enough money to travel…if that will ever happen

  2. I’ve been living in the DR 3 years and he is 100% correct. The only point I will add is the location to live. There are other places, depending on what you are looking for. The central mountain region is very nice, more laid back and tranquil. Not much β€œtourist” places and nightlife, and costs even less.

  3. just a little advice your life will be more expensive if you move to a touristic places or town, if you decide to live in a regular town your life would be more cheap but a con of that is that the regular town would be less safe

  4. I’m coming as soon as my daughter graduates from high school next year! My military pension ain’t really enough for retirement in the States but I can live good down there on $5K a month and have money to fly back and forth regularly! Thanks for the good info.

  5. As a Dominican born and frequent traveler to the DR, this man is probably the best source of information for expats I have come across. He is telling it like it is.

  6. really enjoyed the video Master Flip.. greatly appreciated. will explore more, but with so many A.A departing US. If not doing so already, have good friend doing YT series on A.A. going to Mexico and he as provides a more detail and consultative offering for fee. sure you have much to offer that's worth cash.. from NJ so have that hustle in mind.. Peace. good fortune and hope to check out your spot when I visit!

  7. Yes, the north is nice, but if you are trying live there and not just go during a vacation. If you need to live under a small budget…you need to live elsewhere.

  8. Hey Mr. Flip Flop, what area of DR do you live in? What areas have you lived in while in DR.?
Have you expand break ins? Thanks for the content. I’ve been to DR 15 times around 2003-2005 looking to go back and retire in DR.

  9. Its gotten less safe, especially for women. my aunt is dominican and while going back to visit she got her phone stolen by motorcyclists, which had a ton of important information

  10. Yo Flip Flop! Preciate the video, I’m actually doing research on YouTube because I’m planning to move to the DR in two months!! I don’t speak Spanish and have never been to the country before, but I’m starting a STR business out there and I’ve decided that I was going to move there too! I am apart of the LGBT Community, I was wondering as a Lesbian female is it safe or should I say even LEGAL…. to be an openly lesbian femal in that country?? That’s a really big concern of mines
