What to dress code for men?
Which private hotel transfer did you use?
There are plenty of banks all around Punta Cana
Brisn where did you get the bucket hat?
Tap water…..how do you brush your teeth….shower…..washing your face…..we are coming in a week…..
Whatโs the name of the restaurant that has Taco Tuesdays? My cousin has a condo on that beach, and I am going to be going down there in January. Iโd like to check it out. Thanks for all the info ๐
Yeah, definitely keep the hat string. Thanks for great info
Ty for all the info! Can't wait for our trip may2026๐
Great video! Punta Cana is beautiful, but itโs trueโyou need to come informed. This kind of honest content really helps travelers avoid surprises. Saludos from Santo Domingo Este! ๐ฉ๐ดโ๏ธ

I was there this past january,it was great!!!
Just found your channel. Do you review all inclusives? I have never been to DR but am looking at coming 2026 to celebrate my birthday with family and friends. Looking at the new all inclusives opening 2025.
Hows the white sands area? Just reserved a pre-construction there.
Happy belated birthday.
When Carrie mentioned Mosquitoes I had to look up Dengue Fever there. Not good. Deet is definitely the only thing that works IMHO as I tried an alternative in Laos and did get Dengue which sort of rules this location out. Thank you for covering everything – good and bad.
Thanks for the introduction to the DR. Will be travelling there for the first time in December. Canโt wait to follow along with you. Enjoy. This type of rest and relaxation is different from all your other adventures.!
I love Punta Cana. Visited a few years ago right after Christmas. We left a few days after the new year. The weather was perfect! No rain and extremely low humidity. We did take a party boat. They took us right past all the restaurants. Thereโs a small lagoon thatโs part of the beach. They park the boat and everyone drinks rum, and swims while listening to music for a bit. Have you tried Mamajuana yet? We didnโt really care for the food at the resort. It wasnโt bad just wasnโt enticing.
Do you find Saily better than Airalo? Why? โค
Will you be doing a video from Santo Domingo? Heading to Samana Peninsula? I plan on going to those places in 2026.
Was there back in February. I visited Punta Cana but spent most of my time in Santo Domingo, which I wouldn't recommend spending mush time in.
But a day trip or 1 night stay to visit the Zona Colonial and the Parque Nacional Tres Ojos, which is a series of underground lakes, are worth visiting if you want a change of scenery.
The cancer that is Tipping culture being imported by silly americans. What a shame.
Y'all are starting the summer off right! Have a great time and I look forward to the reports.๐
So fun!!!
Another super helpful video, thanks.
Murder rate there has trended downward. Now about a quarter of Jamaica per 100K population.
Happy belated birthday Brian!!!! ๐๐๐ 55! Still so young! My husband and I are a โlittleโ older but very much working on staying young at heart! ๐
Felice Cumpleanos Brian! I'll be 59 in September. Looking forward to next week's video! Branko and I have been to the Dominican a few times. We mostly go to Cuba, but the economy in Cuba is so sad. It just got worse after Covid!
Great tips.
Enjoy my country and feliz cumpleaรฑos ๐
Huge amounts of algae on the beach which has to do with the deforestation of the Amazon. The stream from the Amazon river shoots the algae to the coast of Africa, then it bounces back to the Caribbean including Cancun and Tulum. They canโt literally keep up with the cleaning. In Cancun they even have trucks to clean the beaches. Sad to see as it wasnโt the case back in the 90s and early 2000s.
Brian, in regards to only having Carrie's name showing for your transportation. She is most important…๐๐ I also noticed she said "he gets to come along.". Whew….๐๐ JP Porto
How lovely!! Excited to hear what you get up to there. As others have said you guys are looking fabulously relaxed. Have a great time.๐
Back in my beach-loving days I would frequently visit the Dominican Republic. Itโs an easy flight from NY. I got melancholy looking at Punta Cana. I eschew beaches now, but your video reminded me of what I used to love about the sun, sand and ocean. Thanks. The Dominican Republic is more than beaches. Santa Domingo, the capitol, is worth a visit. I absolutely loved Santiago, the second largest city, a cultural hidden gem.
So happy you guys are in my home country. Hope you have a great time. Hopefully I get to retire there in 6 more years ๐
What a beautiful beach!!!! ๐๐ฅฐ
Do you guys still do videos where you are out and about and seeing the town/cities you visit? I feel like I haven't seen one of those videos in a while.
I felt my stress level lower just watching this, you both look great and so relaxed. I miss my vacations in DR.
p.s. itยดs true about the humidity in high season, your clothes will have a musty smell if you do not allow to dry fully.
We used to own a condo in punta Cana at costa hermosa. I miss it down there.
I'm with you on boats, I live in Central America and I've heard about too many accidents with boats. The standards of safety leave a lot to be desired.
Is the link for the filtered bottle right?
Carrie , it's nice of you to take Brian along when getting picked up at the airport! You gotta like a place where buttons make you feel overdressed. Thank you for another informative video. Happy Trails!
Love the the view palms ๐ด Palapas, cool hotel, and seeing you both in beach mode.๐ ๐
Love the beach โฑ๏ธ ๐
Have you seen any areas for surfing ๐โโ๏ธ?
Thanks for recognizing how wearing sunglasses seem to disconnect one from their audience.
There are a couple of just wonderful slow travelers that always have sunglasses on. It just harder to connect with them. ๐
It's getting so hot and humid here in Central Florida.
Happy belated birthday ๐ Brian.
Have you tried those underwater motorbikes with the bubble helmet? If they have those there.
If you do bring a small package of ritz crackers with you. Open under water and the fish will love you. ๐
Brian looks like he has lost some weight. The beach life must be agreeing with him. A month in the Dominican seems like a long time. But for relaxing and taking it easy this would be a good remedy
