This bird was one of a group that were working their way through scrub in the grounds of the hotel on the 13th March 2018. They were not overly bothered by Evie and my presence and allowed us to get quite close to them. This was the best views we had of the species during our stay in the Dominican Republic. This species has a wide distribution across the Caribbean and Central / South America.
