But here’s what I learned: you don’t need to know everything before you move…you just need a plan. Before we moved, we made sure we had: • A pediatrician we trusted. • The closest emergency room mapped out. • Private health insurance. • Pharmacies and essential services nearby. • A basic understanding of how the healthcare system worked. Was there a learning curve? Absolutely. It was my first time living outside the U.S. But once those pieces were in place, we realized our fears were much bigger than the reality.
