Does DR or the store youre recommending have organic mattresses? I know crazy question. It's a niche market but very important!
I agreed 100 percent with you Jamie. thanks again for the amazing insight points of views on this matters. see you soon. hi to the Family
Solid Video. Thank you for sharing.
Two children ages 2 and 3, both U.S. Citizens were made to represent themselves in court. They were deported. You want to travel overseas. You risk it.
Jamie, you openly endorsed Trump this past election, now you are admitting that you would advise against Dominicans with Green Cards leaving the country. You try to play it down the middle, but your videos & comments are MAGA leaning. Dominicans with Green Cards should not fear leaving the country. You know this. Will there ever be a point when you denounce Trump and his overreaching immigration policies? Also, the Garcia case is about Trump defying court orders & about due process, which the Constitution guarantees for both citizens and noncitizens. I’m thrilled the courts are standing up to Trump. Nothing personal to you, but much of the country sees what’s happening with Trump’s authoritarianism. Unfortunately, it’s going to get much worse.
Yup that’s nothing new. My uncle has green card and he comes every time before the 6 months and he’s been doing that for over 15 years. Btw he is trying to get his citizenship
The fine 31 year old student had omissions in his visa and residency applications. The protest organizing and coordination with foreign players just called attention to those discrepancies. There are many cases of marriages for residency, relationships that evaporated after the green card was received, and those that call attention to themselves may have given a reason to USCIS to re-ajudicate their status. Those that obtain their citizenship can be subject to revocation for substantial falsification reasons. Being a gringo in Santo Domingo, I too can lose my Dominican residency if I speak too loudly or out of turn. Being that we are working on split time between US/DR, very other time my GCH wife is asked why she was out of the US for months. It's not for six months though.
I been in jail, it's not to be the Hilton.
Good post today, I am a retired Border Patrol Agent so I am not the go to for all immigration questions but I do have some real time knowledge. If you are a LPR (legal permanent resident) they can be deported but due to breaking serious laws if it’s a minor misdemeanor you are fine) and green card holders must ALWAYS have their documents with them NO excuse, not having them could cause a problem. If you are a law abiding person you won’t get deported… keep in mind documents must be correct. And the Canadian lady you mentioned that complained about sleeping on a hard floor did she think being in jail was a resort vacation? Bottom line as long as you have your documents in order and haven’t broken laws you’ll be fine. The Colombia student was calling wayyyyyy too much attention to himself, US residents have certain rights that LPRs do not have. Good information but people need to stop being fear mongered
Also POTUS has stated inside the Oval Office that he would deport american citizens that "commit horrible crimes" to El Salvador. This is why people are scared.
Ok, so Kristi Noem can go on taxpayers dimes to take pics in front of El Salvador prison inmates. Be fair please
lol Trump fooled us all
My husband make Colchones in Miami 😂😂😂 (Naco comercial)
My husband is going back home to see his kids and family for 17 days i hope everything will be ok but his been good never been in trouble and no social media just was app he doesn’t used social media.
Any news about US born citizens with a US passport who have a criminal history over 20 years old having any issues returning the US from the DR?
Jamie, sending you props on the video – So, greatly appreciated!!! During our visit this Summer I hope we can touch base and catch a meal and beer on the beach!!! Again THANK YOU for your time❤
I believe the two cases that you mention are getting mor attention is due to there being constitutional violations.
freedom of speech(1st amendment) and violating someone's due process rights(5th amendment)
and in the case of garcia, and why the spot light is on him and not the rest of the guys that were sent to the prison has to due with the government violating(later admitted to being a mistake) a previous immigration order prohibiting the govt from deporting him.
What about Dominicans who holds a us b2 visa
Dominicans get deported all the time for committing crimes in the US. I’m not sure what level of crime warrants deportation, but usually you hear about drug traffickers getting deported. It has always been the case as far as I could remember.
Great info! Thanks Jamie!
I was briefly detained in the DR when returning back to the US. Apparently my unique first and last names actually matched with others on their watchdog database. It wasn't until I presented my dual citizenship cedula which also has my mothers maiden, family name that I was let immediately go.
Great information jamie. Thank you 🙏
How is being Pro Palestinian being Anti American???
They can search your phone even if you are citizen! It has been happened by quite a lot lately
Hi Jamie. Dominican born, US citizen here and the few times I’ve been to DR I always get stuck in immigration. They are always questioning/verifying how I was able to enter the country and leave every time. I am not sure if its because my DR passport has been expired since i was a child, I always travel with my US Passport. I was told by the immigration officer that it’s possible im being detained because I do not have a cedula. I don’t understand why i would need one considering im an American I citizen and have. Not lived in DR since i was a small child. I have to go apply for a DR passport and hopefully avoid that issue in the future. I would love to visit DR more but after being detained for hours last time , I am too scared to go back.
Whether is from DR or from the US , criminal migrants should be deported. The dude selling icees in front of schools or the guy working on a farm paying taxes shouldn’t be and there should be a legal pathway for hard working migrants that contribute to the economy.
You doing good job love all your video I wish all people in DR government do good work like you ❤❤❤❤❤
I came back from DR 2 weeks ago on a Green Card, it all went smooth, they just took a picture of me, my finger prints and that what's it! 5 minutes interaction.
That’s a lie. My brother in law is retired and live in the DR, he comes to the US every 5 and a half months. Yes, you can be detained if you have a prior criminal record.
If that Canadian woman is telling the truth you and everybody else ( except MAGAS of course) should be horrified… making a person especially a woman going through that for stupid paperwork sounds more like Russia or Cuba than the United States….
I agreed❤
In the case of García you are missing the point… it's not only about him… it's about all of us… including you… it's about that authoritarian regimes always start with the disrespect of a judge order
A lot of dominicans with green card travel 5 to 7 times to DR in a year, spending more time in DR than in the us those are the one who are getting detained at immigration a green card (permanent resident) is for live in the us not for go to DR spend 4 months there come back and go again for 3 months you basically spending 7 months in DR lol but trump is here now
"Anti-America activity"???or anti Trump criticism??? It sounds more accurate
Green card holders are not usa citizens. Green card equals = usa resident. Yes if you have a green card and you stay too long in the dr, you will be taken in for questioning. Green cards are conditional and if you do not follow rules it can be taken away.
The question, Jamie, is, does being an illegal immigrant deserve life without parole in a maximum detention center? Let your conscience be your guidance.
I didn’t understand bringing up Jasmine Mooney’s case, especially given the video title. Jasmine was not being detained while travelling to DR. Not trying to police content, but it veered from GCH travelling to DR, then to a Canadian travelling to the US to work, then presented as fact based findings. Actually, Jasmine’s visa didn’t expire & it was NOT an issue about wrong visa paperwork. Her last issued visa was subsequently revoked upon a visit to Vancouver & attempt to return to LA last November. US Border agents stopped her at the airport & revoked her visa because they said that the circumstances around how her TN visa was processed was unusual & since the product she was working to promote contained hemp, then it should have not been approved based on the rules surrounding the TN visa. This all occurred at Vancouver airport. She subsequently received another job offer and tried to apply at the Mexico/San Diego border, which she had entered before in the past. She was told that since she had issues with her visa in the past that she had to re-apply through the consulate, & that she had to return to Canada. According to Jasmine’s account, while searching for a ticket to return to Canada, that’s when a border agent detained her and the series of events that she alleges then occurred re: her detention. To minimize it as an issue re: wrong paperwork subtly shifts blame to her for wrong documentation, when in fact, what should have happened is that if she was denied at the border, then she should have simply been allowed to return to Canada, which she didn’t resist to do by any account.
Had Mr. García been submitted to the normal deportation process, and returned to El Salvador, as a free man, this entire scandal would have been avoided. No one would have intervened on his behalf.
The huge difference is that Mr. Garcia was picked up, deported to a maximum security prison in El Salvador, without being accused of any crime at all. This could have happened to anyone walking around with the wrong tattoo.
There was no hearing in front of a judge. He was sent to a foreign prison without an attorney to defend his human rights. Sent to prison indefinitely without a trial that found guilty of anything. No sentencing hearing. All of this happened on American soil.
What The?
Even the Supreme Court requested that the government facilitate Mr.Garcia’s return. To set Mr. Garcia free? No! To afford him due process under the law. If he is legally deported, so be it.
Congressmen are defending everyone’s right to due process. Due process is indispensable before you can throw a human being into a maximum security prison. This is NOT a novel concept. It’s not grand standing. In fact, due process is one of the rights that distinguishes the America I proudly served, from lawless, oppressive dictatorships, without any human rights.
I strongly agree with deporting criminals. But it’s not necessary to shred the Constitution in order to protect our citizens and enforce immigration laws.
You know our relationship is love and hate, but this time you fuck#%$ win, I hate you! 😡😂… Jamie, a Dominican with visa wants to live in the US, but a Dominican with green card, wants to live in DR.
Pro tip, stop using your phone to make the videos or get 3 good lights, or a proper camera, eyes are very important in videos, yours are looking washout because of low light or some others things, with better quality youtube will recommend your videos out of the limit, Video quality is another important factor for YouTube's algorithm.
I'll fight you later 😒
Trump is an A hole 🕳️
I’m a US citizen and I have been detained for 3 hours when i return to the USA before. They check my phone to see if i was committed any crimes. US citizens or whoever have no rights of privacy when entering the USA. They can go thru all your phone without a warrant
I was there a few months ago and did not see anyone being detained
