Hows the Wifi connection in Punta cana? Planning to work on my holiday for a couple of days?
Is it possible to go to the palace part of the hotel, and eat in the beach part? Or go to the beach hotel and then swim and eat in the palace part?
Been there a few years ago and vowed never to return. Food sucked, service was horrible, and there were roaches all over. So while the resort was very beautiful with nice pools and a beautiful beach I had a terrible time. It may be better now, but I will never find out as there are plenty better. Spend a little more and go to Majestic Mirage. Spend more and go to Hyatt Ziva.

We've been there 4 times and will be back this year. You missed the best pool. There is an adult's only pool at the south end of the property right next to a nice bar. You are correct about the food. It sucks. 2 of 4 trips I returned with "traveler's disease". I find the beach to be very nice, protected by a reef which keeps the water calm. Sea grass comes with that. I have never heard my neighbors, but we always get a suite. We always pay for Premium club. It has its own small volume check-in/out and a small buffet and drinks while you wait. There are other perks like "free" room service, access to all the restaurants etc.
This place was great in my opinion. I was there in June of 23 and heading back this June. I paid $3100 for a Junior Suite for 3 people, direct flights from JFK on JetBlue. This is the best place in Punta Cana for that price and I dont give a fukwhat anyone says. Do you people, and experience it for yourself. You might find it great or you might find it sucks but you figure it out.

You get what you pay for dude. When you visit Cap Cana a bit south of Bavaro, the prices triple. Sanctuary, Margaritaville, Hyatt, Secrets.

I've never understood why checking in at any resort takes as long as it does. What's so complicated? "Oh, here's your reservation, so here's your room key." It should be as simple as that. It should never take more than 5 minutes and for some reason it takes forever. Even if you have to scan my passport and put a credit card on file, 5 minutes is still as long as it needs to take if you have any competence as a human being doing an extremely simple job.

Just came back from this place, my trip advisor review will be coming, but in the meantime, you can add the French restaurant trys to be upscale, by making you dress up, but they need to learn what medium rare is when you order the wellington, Food was not worth it.

We have been to Barcelo Bavaro two years in the row (2023 and 2024); both times a big group (under 20 people). Before our first trip, we have been super worried about food based on many negative reviews, but the truth is, if you adjust your expectations accordingly, the food is fine. The thing is, this place is massive and needs to feed hundreds of people, so it is no surprise that the food is going to be on a bland side. Personally, I really enjoyed the breakfast, the number of different pastries and good coffee was enough to set the mood for the rest of the day. Omelet stations were also very good in my option. I am not into sea food, but found plenty of different options like chicken or beef/pork. I cant imagine anyone starving at this place. The positive side is that each time I didn't gain any weight after returning from each trip 🙂
Your beaches are paradise, unfortunately there is an increase in seaweed due to the natural warming that this planet has already experienced several times.
When I vacationed in Punta Cana for the first time in September 2001, the sand was as white as coconut flesh.
I would just like to give the hotel bosses a little tip at this point.
– For us Europeans, when we vacation in the Caribbean, modern furniture in the rooms is less important.
– An extravagant pool landscape is also less important to us.
– The fact that the bed is made every day and the towel is artistically folded on the sink is probably not important to most Europeans. You can fluff the duvet and pillow yourself.
However, what is very important to us Europeans on a Caribbean vacation are snow-white beaches without impurities in the sand and lots of coconut palms.
Maybe the hotel owners on Bavaro Beach could buy a beach cleaning device like this https://youtu.be/fpGzmZheTUw?si=tXAEppEXBNedPY67
and have someone on duty clean the sand from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
took 4 people to the palace. beautiful two story room , two baths. really enjoyed it. and the grounds were immaculate. great time. and it was very inexpensive. buffet was good. its a buffet. restaurants were great. my only complaint really was the pool tables and cues at strikers.

Even though I respect the fact that you go out of your way to make nice videos, I've noticed that you always trash the food at RIU. I've stayed at 4 RIU Palaces properties in Mexico, all of which had excellent food. Honestly, it seems like nothing pleases you.
In your experience would you say property size is the greatest issue for failure of a good all inclusive?
If you stay here, its worth upgrading to premium. Private check in, Great rooms, and room service is free
Is the spa included in the all-inclusive or extra? What about a scene for teens? Clubs, waterpark?

We have been to Dominic resorts. I don’t know how. You get to your resort but we never take the shuttle provided in your package We grab a cab We get there atleast and hour and a half before the rest of the crowd that is coming to the same resort on your shuttle bus. It’s worked 100 percent of time and is well worth the 40 bucks US
