In this video, I visit The Most Dangerous Hood in the Dominican Republic, LA 42 de CAPOTILLO. Many locals warned me not to visit this area in Santo Domingo. I explore and meet with the community to find out what really happens here.

  1. Tayo, love your content. But be careful highlighting some stuff in some countries that may not necessarily want that brought to light. The DR gets 10 million tourists a year and some people may not like this kind of content. Christ must List is stuck at a police station in Trinidad. Just be careful or at least post such content once you have left. No guarantee they would never let you in again if they deem you to being antagonistic.

  2. "The hood" is my favorite place to visit! You'll never see how people look out for each other on media. Legit "If you need me, I got you" culture. Another thing not understood it's dangerous because it's ALLOWED to be dangerous. Keeps the property cheap for whenever the westerners want to colonize/gentrify it and labor cheap to keep the locals from actually building a future of their own and cheap exports for the USA and such.

  3. Tayo you seemed very uncomfortable, that was not like your Jamaica experience where you seemed to be on a high. What can you do other than to hope they do welcome tourist in to get people spending and giving to their community for some improvements. Dayum, Gov't could outsource some jobs there too.

  4. As someone that lives in SA, it felt you took another route in the ghetto multiverse because the only difference was the language and area… I kinda need this side if you can , because we've seen the good but what about the bad…

  5. All I say is they don't look different they just our brothers
Traped their I wish we had money and understanding of our governments to allow those who are willing to come to Africa and try.
