What a Kamala Harris Presidency Means for Dominican Republic πŸ‡©πŸ‡΄

I’m breaking down the US election and comparing Trump and Harris in an effort to explain what a Harris presidency would mean for the Dominican Republic.

Every election has consequences and there will be an impact to the Dominican Republic depending on who is elected as the United States President.

  1. The trend is in motion Jamie, and there's nothing that can be done to derail it. the 2024 presidential election is likely to be the last election, and it's likely civil war will follow it. The US government will collapse by the early 2030's. (US government bonds, notes and bills will be worthless). All pensions, and social security checks will cease. The US will split into three or more separate governed entities. At some point in the 2030's, new governments will be re-established. Societies will adapt.

  2. Stopped watching the minute that agree with liberals "equal opportunity laws" all that does is to promote people who are not qualified for a position just because there's a quota to fill.
And I say that as an immigrant who arrived in Brooklyn in the mid 80's. Growing up poor gave me and my sister the drive and hunger to succeed in life and if we did it there's no reasons or excuse for others not to make it.
Another issue with another Democrat in office is their pressure they put on us to solve the Haitian problem. I'm pretty sure that you don't care about that, but we Dominicans sure do.

  3. As a Dominican American whose family members were killed by Rafael Trujillo I'll never vote for Trump. I see Trujillo in Trump, and don't think it can't happen here, and I predict Harris will win in a landslide. I really liked tulsi gabbard till she went conspiracy crazy. Never liked Kennedy Jr another conspiracy nut

  4. You are on point. It’s time to put a stop to the madness. The idea of a Kamala administration pushing an open border policy in the DR is scary and must be avoided. Trump wont mess with our border.

  5. I think Trump is a racist. After Hurricane Maria he treated the Puertoricans like wild dogs. See how he was throwing paper towels to them like they were wild animals( Google Trump hand outs to Puertorican after Maria). I have other reasons why I think he is a racist. I will be happy to tell you why.

  6. I know that the stats say that America is the biggest tourism clients for DR, but from my own perspective in El Cortecito, I feel like there are way more Canadians; maybe it’s easier for them to come here on a pension. Then again, I’m only talking about the folks that are renting apartments in the winter months, and maybe I’m not exposed to the entire market.

For example, it’s Labor Day on Monday, but I don’t see any bars or restaurants advertising Labor Day events.
