  1. I thought most was actually cheap. Go to the soda restaurants. All locals come there. And to the selfservice of the musmanni bakeries. I have a great hotel included breakfast for 30 euro a night. Ok,tours are not cheap but overall i find it not expensive at all.

  2. I am from Costarica and its not expensive in some tourist areas there are restaurants that make you pay a lot for food but here in san jose everything is cheap also tours are SUPER expensive in the pacific coast

  3. Never been to Costa Rica going this October. It's pretty obvious to not bring white sneakers but you're the kinda person that would need those kinds of shoes to complete your wardrobe for CR lo

  4. The more I learn about places being so expensive the more I see why people travel within the US. Why leave? I guess for culture but that's gone in the tourism areas and the US has people from everywhere just drive to a new zip code.

  5. Wear dry fit clothing when possible, sandals or shoes you'll know will get dirty/wet, a good rain jacket for those sudden down pours, bug spray (although I almost never get bit), don't touch the wildlife, you can use your credit card at toll roads (if you don't have the local currency or exact change), get a credit card with no international fees when you use it, get a tour guide when possible, & always enjoy 🍻

  6. I made the same mistake of wearing my New Balance white sneakers for Central America and yep I can confirm they are ruined and wet 😂😅

  7. DO NOT visit the capital city, San José. It's the worst. Not even us, locals, visit it at all. There is much crime, and it's a mess. There's nothing interesting to watch unless you pay for a guided tour which, of course, will show you the one or two landmarks.

  8. Oh definitely limit time in San Jose, get to the forest and ocean asap! Correct. It's thoughtful and respectful of her to say "in my opinion", but it's pretty much true for almost everyone.

  9. I’m Costa Rican, and it is getting more expensive there, if anyone goes I totally recommend going to Manuel Antonio it’s the best! Pura vida! 🇨🇷☺️

  10. Si entiendes que costa rica es caro según ustedes porque no saben organizar bien el viaje 😂, si quieren un viaje de CEO que tienen demasiado dinero no se quejaron de los precios 😂, se llama saber viajar 😂😂😂😂
