In this week’s video we’re back in the Dominican Republic — but this time we’re kicking things off in Punta Cana to see what’s new for the 2025/26 season! We start our day on the world-famous Bávaro Beach, one of the most beautiful stretches of sand in the Caribbean. We take a walk along the shoreline, check out what’s happening on the beach, and give an update on the sargassum situation for anyone planning a trip this year.

Next, we visit BlueMall Punta Cana for the very first time. We grab a coffee at Santo Domingo Café and pop into Zara Home to get some inspiration for decorating our new condo here in the DR. BlueMall is one of Punta Cana’s top shopping spots, so this was a fun one to finally explore.

Finally, we head to Punta Cana Village, a charming area near the airport known for its restaurants, shops, and relaxed local vibe. We wander around, soak up the atmosphere, and stop at La Casita de Yeya for delicious Dominican food and drinks:

We’re also sharing an update on our travel plans around the Dominican Republic for this upcoming season — where we’re going, what we’re filming, and what you can expect next.

  4. Thanks for bringing me a little sunshine this morning. It’s snowing big time here in QC…urggg…can’t wait to arrive in Cabarete in 1 month 😎. I hope there will not be sargassum on Cabarete beach 🤞

  5. Nice to see you again really enjoyed the segment in Punta Cana village. We go there once or twice on every visit and we’ll be going there a lot more once our place is done in Cap Cana as you probably realize it’s about a 12 minute ride from Punta Cana village to Cap Cana. Lastly PCV was started about 20 years ago and they continue to build out the area.
